If she can't be herself with us, then where can she be herself?

Paper and pen with plenty of ink!
I created a collection of books about my daughter Laila because she inspires me. Her creativity is unbelievable at times! As her mom, I’m proud of her. Since Laila was a little girl, my husband and I encouraged her to draw. My husband wanted her to have some boundaries as to where she was drawing, but I’m a strong believer in allowing our children to be themselves. Laila was able to draw on the walls, and on our hardwood floors with chalk in our home. Today, she is still drawing! She has won numerous drawing contests in her school and plans to be an art teacher to show and embrace other artists.
